The Elwyn Hughes Collection
Elwyn Hughes started carving love spoons in 1975. Mike Bartlett joined the Hughes Company in 1988 as an apprentice. In 1993, after the death of Elwyn's wife. Mike and his wife purchased part of the company. The remaining part of the company was purchased in 1994 by Mike and his wife Avril, who run the company today.

A Paul Curtis Collection
Paul began his carving at an early age. When he was 16, he was brought to see the master love spoon carver Gwyndaf Breeze at the Welsh Folk Art Museum in Cardiff. In 1985, Paul started his own company carving Welsh love spoons in walnut.
